I have a mother with Severe Osteoarthritis. She cannot look after herself at the moment.?

I like in London and need to know how I can get the best help. I am desperate as I may have to work part time to support her.

I'm not certain what is available in London, but most cities have some kind of social service to help those who cannot help themselves.

Your mother should be made comfortable when you have to leave for work. (You didn't say if she is confined to bed or a wheelchair.) Have near to her bed or chair, water and snacks to keep her satisfied till you come back home. The bathroom needs you'll have to work out with her or maybe a neighbor can help.

Osteoarthritis can be treated. She should see a doctor for how much and what kind of calcium and magnesium she should take. Also, I hope she is taking a good multi-vitamin. Take care in the tub/shower and around rugs that might slide, stairs, etc.. A fall could mean a broken bone.
go to the closest hospital that u can find and ask them if there's anything u can do!!!!hope it helped good luck!!
check with the doctor if she is a candidate for a knee replacement if her pain is really debilitating
