Does Anyone Here Have Degenerative Arthrosis (aka. degenerative osteoarthritis)& How You Deal With The Pain ?

I wonder how people with degenerative arthrosis also known as degenerative arhtritis or degenerative osteoarthritis, have deal with the unbearable pain and work. Have this condition stop you from working ? How can I return to work, and with what medications to kill the severe pain on my feet and knees joints ? I dont want to become bedwritten, Im only 29 years old and already have Degenerative Arthrosis on my both feet & both knees, periostitis atributed to enthesopathy, tendinitis, synovitis, crps, rsd, a fracture on my foot that havent healed yet in 5 years since it happened, etc, not to mention the depresion this have caused me, but im not giving up yet. Althouht im in a lot of constant severe pain, I will like to know if this condition will get less painfull with time or if is going to get worst and what can I do, since doctors are afraid to give straight answers on this questions. Anyone suffering from any of this conditions, I will appreciate any comments on this. Thanks.

My deepest sympathy. I'm 49 and have osteoarthritis. Too many years of joint damaging sports. I use heating pads, a hot tub, a physiotherapist/Chiroprator and a good NSAID (Aleve). I find the problem is agravated with life style choices. Ensuring I am well hydrated, back off the booze and moderate non-impact excercise (walking, swimming) tends to help.

Best of luck, getting old is not for sissy's.
chiropracter has helped me
Aleve is the most inexpensive over-the counter pain reliever that i've found. I usually have to take about four a day, but it makes it bearable to walk with my knees the way they are.
same here i have osteoarthritis and its very painful.. i just leave with it.. i am on so many meds now i just hate for more. i use heating pads and creams and pain meds if i have to.. there are times i have cried from the pain but you have to keep moving your hands and feet. good luck
I'm 62 and have Osteoarthritis in both knee's I've taken cortisone shot and other types of shot's for the knee. they help for awhile. But to my knowledge there is know cure for this. Nothing short of powerful pain killers will ease the pain, Ive tried just about every thing on the market. Have you checked out the Arthritis Foundation for information?
My dad eats marijuana brownies. They don't bug his stomach, he likes brownies and because he's self medicating. His one thing is to take bites over the day to calm the pain down. He's 70 and instead of taking pain meds that turn him into a zombie, he can get around house and do his gardening. which helps keep him moblie. Plus his appetite is up, which makes him eat better and he's in a good mood now rather than insane, slobbering med patient.

On the plus side of the marijuana brownies is his blood pressure is now regular and he doesn't have to take about four other pills which give him gas, the runs, and headaches.

The doctor he's dealing with is quite happy with the results so far and it looks good with other patients that he's taking care of in the community.
He started eating weed when I found him half dazed from some pain med he mixed with another one of his meds about five years ago. The meds reacted with one another badly, I took him back to the doctor and I suggested the doctor to try something different.
