How much do doctors of Osteopathic Medicine? |
D.O. It doesn't matter what type of Physician (MD vs DO) but the specialty they choose, the area of the country they practice and the type of facility (hospital/group practice/sole proprietor). DO's and MD's are the only fully qualified physicians licensed to perform surgery and prescribe medication in the USA. An orthopedic physician working full-time is bound to make more than a family practice physician working full-time. A lot also has to do with insurance reimbursement. But generally speaking, yes, DO's make the same as MD's. They make a median of $156,010 per year, which is about the same as M.D. I hope I helped. |
