Could i have osteoporosis? |
I am 25 yrs old and about 8 1/2 mths ago i developed a huge amount of pain in my right wrist i couldnt do anything - like turn a light switch off.. I had a bone scan and it revealed a healing fracture however i did not have a fall or anything.. My hands have also become rather weak and i have no strength.. I have now got the same pain in my left wrist and it is agonising.. I have 2 little boys to look after and this makes it difficult.. Also i have noticed that i am getting shorter i used to be 5 foot 5 and when i stood next to my step mum yesterday who is 5 foot 2 she is now taller than me ( i was always taller).. Does anyone know what could be wrong with me and what i can do for the pain.. I cant take many medications as i am breastfeeding.. Thanks in advance to everyone Here are a few links that will answer your question far better than I can. I use them all the time and find them very informative Definitely go to a Orthopedic Doctor! You may have a more serious problem. Prenatal drugs, diet, could be the issue. Along with fatigue from being a Mom. Stress can create physical problems too. So go to the Doc, insist on some specific blood test. And if they find nothing, make time for yourself to relax without the kids for a hour. Rest could be all you need to get your wrist back in shape! And don't forget to eat right!! |
