How do Thyroid problems affect chance of getting osteoporosis?

Actually it's the parathyroid that can cause osteoporosis. Not at all related to the regular thyroid, just also found in your neck.

Malfunctioning parathyroid can leech calcium from your bones into your blood. This can harm your bones, resulting in osteoporosis. Can cause other problems too.
