This is regarding Osteoporosis. I have been diagnosed with Osteo... I am a women 60+ years of age. I am in constant pain and Ive been told there is no cure for Osteoporosis. I am currently taking Tremadol (pain killer) prescribed by my doctor. I wanted to know is there a better pain killer then Tremadol for Osteoporosis. Tremadol hasnt been working for me lately. Im in such pain at times I dont know what to do but cry. I know how you feel and I've been researching this for a while. I'm kind of a supplement freak and will try something to see if it works. One of the least expensive is MSM a natural sulfur supplement. Make sure you get capsules, the pill form just doesn't work right. Start taking one in the am one in pm. After a few days increase to 2 and 2. Try up to 6 and 6, if you haven't gotten relief then try something else. It is not toxic or contraindicated with any medication, it's just food. take some good scotch and a little bit of ice in a glass.....should dull the pain...otherwise find another Dr. In many chronic pain sufferers there is inadequate pain treatment, especially by ther general practioners due to the crack down on pain medication being written in the US. It may also be beneficial to you to get a referral (if you need one with your insurance plan) to a pain management Dr. These Dr's are comapssionate and caring about chronic pain patients and are a true blessing in our world. They may put you on a medication that is time released for 12 hours so that you only have to take 2 per day. I think that is your best bet as not only do they address your actual condition and do things that are best for it but treat your pain as you go along. I have nothing but the deepest respect for my pain mamnagement crew and don't know where I would be today without them. Please give them a try! You will be so very glad that you did! I would see if you have a pain management of some kind in your area and consult them for this. They are better equiped and seem to be more knowledgable. see another doctor, there are treatments for osteoporosis. |
