What good exercises for osteoporosis?


can I do yoga if I have osteoporosis?

This sounds like a question that should be answered by a doctor.

However, I would say that you should use your body to gage if it's right for you. If it's painful, don't do it. Plain and simple.

Doing some kind of resistance training, like yoga or weight-lifting, is great for osteoporosis, though. If you're having trouble finding something you can do, you need to speak to a professional.

weight bearing execises are good (walking, push ups, and yes yoga, tai chi). Try to avoid high impact aerobics etc. Also diet is critical. Try to take a magnesium supplement to help inhibit bone resorption. Slow-mag is a good brand.
