I'm 52, I have osteoporosis, I just found out a blood test taken in Feb. had been flagged for high phosphorus? |
I see this could mean a kidney problem, I am dumbfounded, does any one have any ideas? I know that when you have high phosphorus (Hyperphosphatemia) it will cause a low calcium level which may cause osteoporosis. It is mostly caused by some kidney problem. I am giving you a link to wikipedia about Hyperphosphatemia there are many diseases that can cause elevated phosphorus..i suggest you go to your primary physician to run more tests..probably he can refer you to an endocrinologist.. |
