Is there any Natural cure for Multiple Sclerosis and osteoporosis in the same person ?

Dr. Roy Swank, Professor of Neurology at the University of Oregon Medical School, has provided convincing evidence that a diet low in saturated fats, maintained over a long period of time, tends to retard the disease process of MS and reduce the number of attacks. Swank began successfully treating patients with his low-fat diet in 1948. Dr. Swank recommends:

* A saturated fat intake of no more than 10 grams per day.
* A daily intake of 40-to-50 grams of polyunsaturated oils per day (margarine, shortening, and hydrogenated oils are not allowed).
* At least 1 teaspoon of cod liver oil per day.
* A normal allowance of protein (0.8 g/kg)
* Consumption of cold-water fish (e.g. salmon, mackerel, and herring) 3or more times per week in order to boost omega-3 fatty acids.

The Swank Diet was originally thought to help patients with MS by overcoming an essential-fatty-acid deficiency. Currently, it is thought that the beneficial effects are probably a result of (1) decreasing platelet aggregation, (2) decreasing an autoimmune response, and (3) normalizing the decreased essential-fatty-acid levels found in patients with MS.

Osteoporosis:

A diet high in salt or acid ash also causes calcium removal from bones and increases calcium loss in the urine. Therefore, we recommend avoiding salt and eating an alkaline based diet. Basically, an alkaline diet is one that focuses on vegetables, fruit, nuts, and legumes while avoiding overconsumption of meat and dairy. More: http://www.doctormurray.com/conditions/o...

Real people, real stories. Good forthcoming health to you!
There is no cure for multiple sclerosis, natural or other. Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease where the person's own immune system attacks the myelin sheath of the nerves.

Osteoporosis is not part of MS. Osteoporosis is thinning of the bones that often comes with age. Osteoporosis can be the result of taking prednisone, a steroidal anti-inflammatory that suppresses the immune system Weight bearing exercise and adequate calcium intake-1200 mg a day in dose of 600 mg each with vitamin D.

Both diseases can be fatal. It is best to use the tools at your disposal through your doctor to handle both these issues.
The Swank Diet is very good for MS patients. Prescription For Natural Cures (Balch & Stengler) recommends High potency multiple vitamins, lots of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and Wobenzym.
Dr Atkins speaks highly of Colamine (Calcium AEP) but it may be hard to find in the USA (see Dr Atkins' Vita-Nutrient Solution).
MonaVie has made many MS patients feel better.
Because of the FDA regulations for natural products, it is illegal to use the word cure, treat, or prevent. However, there is concrete literature about a natural berry that increases the bodies production of an enzyme that inhibits lipid peroxidation, the cause of mylein loss (the protective coating on nerves). I know people who take it and they are seeing great results. For more info you can e-mail me.
I am a RN, so maybe I can give you a little more feedback.
How much do you spend on natural products right now?

I against the law in the U.S.A to say there is a natural cure for anything, unless its a drug. Anyway, you need to read the book "Cures They Don't Want You To Know About" A.S.A.P. If this person is drinking soda pop you need to stop. There is something in soda that might be causing this. This author also has a website: www.naturalcures.com. I wish you folks all the best.
