If a women has Ovarian cancer can they still get pregnant? |
If a women has Ovarian cancer can they still get pregnant? Currently has or has had? yes but i dont recommend it It depends on the extent of the tumour, and the treatment options. If one ovary is involved, and the tumour has not spread, surgical removal would be an option. This would leave the remaining ovary functional. If the cancer has spread locally, or metastasised, a partial or full histerectomy may be required, which would render the woman infertile. If chemotherapeutic drugs must be used at any stage, it would be important for the woman to consider freezing eggs from the healthy ovary before treatment was begun. |
