Kemo for ovarian cancer?

my mother has ovarian cancer. she had surgery and they removed the tumor but she has the choice of taking the kemo or not living and i told her to do the kemo but she said the kemo isnt necessarily the best choice cuz its "poison". HELP PLEASE...!

You mom needs to know what the expected outcome of each therapy might be. She needs to have someone there to listen for her when the doctors speak because when you are the patient, you can't absorb all that is being said. She needs to be informed of what the usual outcome and side effects of each therapy are and if there are any experimental treatments that she might qualify for at a large cancer center. Then she can make a real educated decision about her care options.
