Does taking althea pill or other contraceptive pills leads to ovarian cancers? |
Does taking althea pill or other contraceptive pills leads to ovarian cancers? It's not as simple as 'the contraceptive pill leads to ovarian cancers... or blood clots etc'. These conclusions come from looking at 2 groups of people, one group beng on the pill and the other not..... the 'pill' group had developed very slightly more cases of ovarian cancer etc. Statistics found a significant difference betweenthe 2 groups, but personally, i studied statistics at uni for a couple of years and there has to be very minimal difference to assume a 'statistical difference'. And there are flaws, there's no way to wholely say the pill was the cause of the cancer, it could be the life-style of teh pill takers etc. |
