How the treatment of the ovarian cancer before the world wide web been introduce?

How the treatment of the ovarian cancer before the world wide web been introduce?

I never attacked the question from that angle (although I do use the internet to explain medical problems).
I remember Gilda Ratner, just one of the women who died. I also know that yearly checkups are needed. That way, most problems are caught early enough. Also there is now so much information concerning testing, etc. It's on TV, Radio, News, Magazines.
Yes, also on the internet, but good coverage elsewhere as well.

Generally when the cancer was discovered before the WWW, the only remedy left was death or a hysterectomy, sometimes both. The publicity of this disease has saved the lives of countless women, now if more Dr's would only perform a simple blood test that tests for elevated estrogen levels, many more would be saved.
