Depo, ovarian cancer, or normal?

I was having skipped periods so i went to the dr. She did an exam and said it was prob due to weight gain and asked if i needed birth control so i went on depo. While on depo i bled for 21 days straight and had on off cramping for about a month. That is all gone now but my mother is saying that it's not normal and the skipped periods in the first place is not normal and I may have ovarian cancer.
I am really scared out of my mind. I am not having extreme pain or anything like that but I am very afraid. I am only 19 and my mom always calls me a hypercondreact but how am i not to be if she keeps saying things like, "you may have cancer"
Please help
i posted the same symptoms without depo mentioned i got cancer, i posted them without cancer mentioned i got the answer of depo. idk what it is, i went to the dr and she said the missed periods and such was due to either weight gain or stress

AND i did go to my dr. that is how i got the shot. I told her what was going on and she made a diagnosis. i dont know what going back to the dr and telling her the exact same things is going to do differently???

I think it is the depo shot, I had it and hated it. I gained weight, had my period every other week for the first month and a half and than didn't get it at all for 2 months. I didn't get a 2nd shot. I also got very moody. And alot of people I have talked to have had the same symptoms. Don't panic it is most likely not cancer.

I have a iud now and haven't had a period for 4 months and it is perfectly normal for this type of birth control, as well as for the depo shot to not get it.

The depo causes crazy bleeding in some women.
I put $10000000000 on it that you dont have ovarian cancer.
probably something like ovarian cysts or endometriosis

set up a appt and talk to your doc they will know best
