Does anyone on here have or had ovarian cancer or know anyone that has or had it?

and how long did it take you to get diagnosed? It took me just over 2 years.as CTscans ultraound over that time were all normal until it was noticed this year in May. I knew something was wrong all along. and did not give up until I got my proper diagnosis. It payed of. On monday I went onfor a hystoeroscopy which I am still bleeding from the surgery and it is a way to find out to see if the desease has gone to my uterine. The pictues of the bipsy is abnormal with lumps ontop of it, like a dark red cherry huge pimple thing and a dark round olive colour too and lots of red scaliness on my uterine. The took a swab and sent it to the lab so I am anxioulsy wating for my results. after that the suegon on Monday talked about a hystorecomy soon. so that means more hospital visits. anyway how long did it take you to get a diagnosis. and anyone with ovarian cancer please your opinions.

This is the second time I have been treated for ovarian cancer. This time my cancer has spread to my bladder. The course of treatment I have chosen this time are IV and IP chemotherapy.

The first time I was diagnose with ovarian cancer, it took 6 months and a change of doctors before I got a diagnosis. By that time, I looked 6 months pregnant, had fatigue, diarrhea and constipation. Needless to say, the cancer had spread to my colon during that time. I had a total hysterectomy and a colon resection.

Anyways, I am almost done with treatments. This course of treatment is much more taxing on the body but research indicates that the length of time between recurrences is longer (as compared to IV chemo only).

I recommend that you research your treatment options and ask lots of questions until you are satisfied with the answers.
