Can you get pregnant if you have ovarian cancer and they were able to leave an ovary in tact? |
I have a very large cyst on my left ovary (9-7cm) and the doctor is pretty sure she will have to remove my left ovary. If she gets in there and finds out that the cyst is cancerous or precancerous but they don't need to remove my uterus or right ovary yet can I still get pregnant? Are there stages of cancer in which you don't need chemotherapy yet? I can't seem to find anything on the internet talking about this. I'm getting a second opinion on the surgery next Wednesday. I got my test results today: It's a large ovarian cyst with no septa and no solid area, I think it is a benign cyst. Doctor will remove the cyst because it is large in size and for a definitive diagnosis. Yes my mother had one ovary removed and she still had me! If you still have a cyst which is large or cancerous is can be very risky for you and the baby. After my mother had be her other ovary became cancerous and she had to have it removed also. She could have gotten pregnant again but it was too risky! go to the doctors and ask. Yup.. only takes one egg! what do you mean well im in a similar situation, i was diagnosed with 2 cysts, one in each ovary, one was 5cm and the other one was 3.7, my biggest dream is to have a baby so the doctor gave me a treatment for 6 months with a shot called lupron depot, is one each 3 months, it is a very expensive shot each is over 1 grand, what causes u is the menopause, i started it in sept 07, no periods, i had hot flahes each 10 min, mood swings, lost of libido, depressions, insomnia, it was veryyy hard, but one month before finishing the treatment i got an ultrasound done and thanks God one cyst desappeared and the other one was almost gone, so the doctor told me to start trying to get pregnant now, i just got my period back 2 months ago |
