Ovarian cancer or what? |
Yesterday I went to the Doctor again course I just can't shake the feeling that there is something really wrong. For the third time I could not do a pap smear because I had a blackish discharge. From early Last year I have been experiencing discharge problem (Thick, white and smelly). I got treated two times because it always came back. Abdominal pain which I always thought it was the kidneys . I bleed brown watery blood even when I'm not on period.I got pregnant on September last year. I went to the Doctor to get tested and the result came back negative. He said it was too early to tell. I insisted on doing a blood test because I could feel something was not right with my body. The blood test came back positive and seven days after that I had a missed carriage. Lately I'm bleeding during sex and sometimes after sex. I have brown discharge and after the miscarriage I have been experiencing pain on my right abdominal side and I never got the pain around the kidneys any more. I always have gas, constipation and pain on my left leg. The Doctor said the pain will go away as time go on. December I started contraceptive injections Noristerat of which the Doctor thinks it the reason for my crazy periods. But my periods were crazy before I even started using the contraceptive. Now I don't know what to do. Hi Wendy - as a medical school instructor, I think you should find another doctor. Thick, white smelly discharges could be anything from yeast (candida) to a bacterial infection, to even infection in your fallopian tubes. The brown watery bleeding sounds to me like there is bleeding somewhere in your system, and there should not be pain or bleeding after sex or otherwise. I would be suspicious of infection in your fallopian tubes or elsewhere. Don't worry about your doctor's feelings - if they are a good doc, they will understand your need to get another opinion, and other opinions until someone finds out what is wrong. Follow your instincts - call other docs and tell whomever makes the appointments there that you need an appointment for a second opinion. Good luck - and keep asking questions! I totally agree with Weezies Mommy. |
