Can ovarian cysts turn into cancer or kill you?

(+10)

They usually dissolve when you have your monthly, if they don't you may have to have them removed. My friend had her cysts removed and they weren't cancerous. But they can become if not treated and left without getting them checked out. So, go to the doctor if they don't dissolve he/she can direct you in what is needed in your case. good luck.

There are lots of different kinds of ovarian cysts. One kind can be a related to cancer, although these are very rare.

The other kinds can be just skin, where the egg usually develops, a cyst with blood, or a cyst made of the lining that usually is in your uterus. All of these are harmless and cannot just magically turn into cancer. Sometimes the kind with blood can get too big and if they rupture, it can be extremely painful and possibly dangerous.

Cysts can be benign or malignant. So if they are malignant, then yes, they may be treated or left untreated, could possibly lead to death.
