If i have ovarian cancer what dose that mean for me am I in some big trouble? Cancer is always a SERIOUS diagnosis, regardless of what type of cancer it is. Please know though, that break-thru's have been made in the treatment of cancer, so I'm sure that you are pretty safe and that everything will be fine. Early detection is always a plus, making the disease that much more treat-able. Have a lovely rest of the day. I'll keep you in my prayers. Not too big, with a lot of cancers, epecially of the sexual organ type, they are quite treatable and have a high cure rate if found quickly. With any cancer much depends on the stage and grade of the cancer . . whether it was caught in an early stage 1 or if it has metastasized and is a stage 4. Besides stages, the grade also is considered . . the grade refers to how irregular the cells look under a microscope . . a low grade means they look somewhat normal, while a high grade means they are very irregular. Too, much depends upon the overall health and age of the patient. All cancers can be treated and there are survivors for all types, grades, and stages of cancer. There is always hope. That being said if you suspect you have Ovarian cancer you need to be evaluated as soon as possible. The quicker you are diagnosed and begin treatment the better off you will be. Do not delay.
