What is stage IV ovarian cancer like?

What is stage IV ovarian cancer like?

The most advanced form is Stage IV which has a very low survival rate鈥攐nly about 5 percent of those diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer will survive for five years. The overall five颅year survival of all patients with ovarian cancer, regardless of stage, is about 30 percent.
It is very sad to watch someone in stage four. A friend of mine passed away in feb. of ovarian cancer. They pretty much just made her comfortable and kept her drugged with pain killers.
It is pretty much coming to the end. Stage iv is the point when nothing is done except keeping the patient comfortable. She will want lots of rest, what ever she wants, give it to her. She probably has grown accustomed to the fact the she is going to pass away, so just spend the remaining time with her the way "SHE" wants. Everyone is different when it comes to pain tolerance. No two cancers are the same, because no two people are the same.
Honestly, its better you consult a specialist. I really want to help but I don't think I can give better answers than specialist do. Sorry.

good luck

Love is omnipresence, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
