I am looking for ovarian cancer survivors. Please let me know of any.? My sister had ovarian cancer quite some time ago. I think I was a teen when she was dianosed, which is approx. 20 years ago now. She's still alive and kicking and just as bi*tchy as normal. lol. http://www.ovariancancerawareness.org/su... You can find support groups on Yahoo Groups. hi you can find support groups on Yahoo Groups. My husband's Aunt was diagnosed over a year ago and is doing quite well. She is taking chemo but her energy levels are quite good and she does everything like anyone would. Here I am! I was diagnosed in March or 2005 , had a hysterectomy and chemo. My CA125 has been "normal" since my third chemo. I think survival depends upon a combination of the right doctors-a surgeon who is a obgyn oncology surgeon, an oncologist who knows what he is doing,. The patient must contribute to this a positive frame of mind, a healthy body (except for the cancer, of course) a sense of humor and a good source of support. There are online support groups and maybe one in your neighborhood. All these things aid in survival. here I am too I was diagnosed last march , had surgery and finished chemo in July. I was diagnosed as a 3 c.. chemo was tough but doable...hang in there my friend |
