Can you get pregnant after ovarian cancer? If you have an ovary and a uterus, you can still get pregnant. You can get pregnant if you are still in your reproductive years! You should discuss this with your obstetrician. There are many forms of treatment depending on the stage. However, most of these medications are teratogenic! Meaning they will definitely affect the baby. The first 3 months are important for the development of the organs of the fetus. If you have been given medications which are teratorgenic, then the fetus might not survive. Yes , it is possible if the person with an ovarian cancer has had a fertility preserrving procedure ie. preservation of one of the functioning ovaries requiring no chemotherapy ( very early stage )and if the ovaries are still functioning inspite of chemotherapy if the person required chemo to reduce the risk of the cancer coming back. |
