Do you think I have Ovarian Cancer? |
k I'm 24 I have had 3 children. My last son who is 2and a half nursed for his whole first year. SO it's been a year and a half since I breast fed and I am still having iregular periods. I was diagnosed with cysts that did not need removed and were not cancerous and one tiny fibroid that was also not cancerous. I stopped my period for two months about 4 months ago. Then I got a 3 day cycle and now I am once again a month late. I do sometimes feel pelvic pain and pressure but not constantly. It comes and goes. My last pap was late July so only a few months back and it came back normal. I had some blood tests I guess the normal stuff done as well. SO yeah I'm scared I have cancer I haven't yet told my doctor all this cause I now do not have Insurance and can not afford to go. Please help by telling me whether or not it sounds like I have ovarian cancre or not. It doesn't sound like ovarian cancer, however, I am not a doctor. I can tell you from personal experience that when this happened to me I was pregnant. Please try and find a free clinic that offers services for the uninsured. You should see a doctor. it doesn't matter what I think. get to a Dr. tomorrow. No, sounds like you are worrying too much. If every test came back normal, accept that. Not every woman has regular periods, or is pain free during the cycle. Sorry about the insurance, but asking a bunch of opinions on Yahoo Answers will not help you. GO TO THE DOCTOR! Doesnt seem like cancer. Ovarian cysts will come and go on their own. If you would like to 'regulate' your periods and help with tempering them...you might try a low dose birth control pill. Consider yourself lucky that you have children and didnt wait. If you had waited and are having irregular periods now, chances would be less to achieve conception. Just go to a planned parenthood clinic for the birth control pills, probably free and free advise also and they may do an exam prior to prescribing birth control pills. You can also go there for regular paps and bloodwork to ease your mind. :) Good luck and happy parenting! Peace. Only the doctor can you tell you this. When you go in ask them to run a CA125-this is the test that will show a marker for ovarian cancer. The marker(range) is from 0 -up in the hundreds. I have this done every year. My reading is 15 and that is a good reading. I''ve had a hysterectomy(complete). Also if your doctor doesn"t use it-ask for thin prep- it gives better results. Ovarian cancer-in most-will make your abdomen look like your pregnant(;and your not) and in most there is lower back pain. Do some research on the computer. Please go to the doctor. Let me be clear up front. I am not in the medical field, but I did have Uterine cancer which is obviously not the same thing. The only thing I want to correct (or believe to be correct because it is what my OB/GYN oncologist had told me) is that the pap smear is meant to detect cervical cancer. I had just had an all clear on my last pap a month prior to the diagnosis of my uterine cancer which made me question the test. That is when he told me if would have never detected this type of cancer. I wish you the best! |
