who has finished chemo and whose cancer marker states they are cancer free? Tumor markers do not state that you are cancer free. They only show there is no evidence of the cancer in the blood at the current time. There is no test to show that you are "cancer free," although a PET scan would be the closest to show there is no cancer activity. Ovarian cancer kills most people who get it. Stage I is the most curable, anything beyond that has more potential to be deadly, unfortunately. If there were any treatment I could get if I had ovarian cancer, I would take it. |
