May have ovarian cancer? |
I have side pains where my ovaries would be, and back pain, well...i was reading about ovarian cancer and i read that most women with ovarian cancer have these symptons: Bloating Pelvic or abdominal pain Difficulty eating or feeling full quickly Urinary symptoms (urgency or frequency) fatigue, indigestion, back pain, pain with intercourse, constipation menstrual irregularities I went to the doctors im gonna get an ultrasound. I'm 18, which is a little too young for ovarian cancer plus no family member has had it. So whatre my chances of having it?Does it sound like i COULD have it? And please dont tell me go to the doctor yada yada, i know that. It sounds to me like you might have endometriosis based on some of the symptoms you mentioned. I have some of those same symptoms and my gyneacologist is going to do a laparoscopy to see what is going on inside and whether I have endometriosis as all the tests such as ultrasound, ct scan, blood work, urine tests and pap smears I've had in the past 8 months have come back negative and it "appears" that everything is normal, however I still have bad pelvic pain and cramping every day and many of the above symptoms. I know you said that we should'nt tell you to go to the doctors, but I am going to say that I recommend you follow through in seeing your doctor or maybe even a gyneacologist to have them evaluate this further. Best of luck, I hope it's nothing serious. Source(s): Personal experience Cancer doesn't neccessarily have to run in your family to get it. You left out some important facts, are you sexually actice, is your period irregular, etc. These are very broad symptoms which lead to endless possiblities of one's specific ailment. Try not to self-diagnose. It can be very dangerous. It is possible, I mean unfortunately diseases have no certain age that they hit at. Please go see a doctor to get the proper tests done to verify whether or not you really do or do not have it. I'm really hoping that you'll be ok... |
