Terrible Pelvic Pain in Pregnancy?

My doctor says this is normal, but it's just awful. It's even worse when I lay down, or move, like my little girl is using my pelvis like a Lazy-Boy.
I'm 32 weeks and I've had this for about a month or two. I don't know if I can go 8 more weeks with this kind of pain and pressure on my pelvis.

Has anyone had this pain, and how long does it last. Did you have any complications during pregnancy or birth because of this?

Please help, Thanks
;-}

This is my second pregnancy and I had nothing like this with my son. This pregnancy is completely different. More pressure, intense heartburn, round ligiment pain, urinary track infections, and severe pelvic pain and pressure.

Not Brax Hicks, I had those, and this isn't even close. I wish that's all this was.

Hi Garden,
Sorry to hear about your pelvic pain during pregnancy. Your doctor is right that this is a normal process. I have had the pain, but as God would have it,like child birth- you remember there was pain, but you do not remember it to the point where you feel it now.
You will go the distance. She is using your pelvis as a Lazy Boy and your pelvis was perfectly comfortable for you before she decided to sit on it so it has to adjust to her being there when she wants which causes you temporary discomfort. Just think how she would feel if she was really conscious of being balled up in there in a small sac of fluid?
Just talk to her and say some funny things to help with pain a little. When you see her you you will forget about the temporary discomfort (o.k.) :-).
It will pass.
P.S. I have never had cramps so when my daughter did that to me it was awful pain, but you will get through it.
Take care and have a healthy happy baby girl,
Arene

You just have to suffer. I know it sounds bad, but just part of it. I didn't have this with the first 2, but did with number 3. It lasted till he came into the world.

Braxton Hicks contractions, which are more commonly known as false labor or practice contractions. Braxton Hicks are sporadic uterine contractions which will usually start around 6 weeks - although you may not feel them that early, but you will start to feel them around the second trimester of your pregnancy.

Drink lots of water. Dehydration can make your muscles spasm, bringing on a contraction.
Avoid caffeine.
You can practice your labor breathing techniques as rhythmic breathing will help to alleviate your discomfort.
Lie down on your left side when you have a contraction.
Change the position you are in or switch activities for a while when you have a contraction. A slight change in movement sometimes make the contractions disappear.
Urinate when you need to. A full bladder can sometimes trigger Braxton Hicks

That terrible pelvic pain is an indication that the baby has engaged...short of delivery not much you can do..

With my son I had no pain like that. So, if your doctor says it's normal, it probably is. It's just the baby positioning himself to be pushed out of a tiny whole. Good luck!

I had this pain when I was 22 weeks or so. It lasted like 3 or 4 weeks. It hurt so much, I just couldn't take the pain. My right side hurted more. The doc said it was normal for my ligament to over stretch and that was why I was having that pain. It went away thanksfully because I couldn't imagine having that pain for much longer. I was miserable. Hopefully yours goes away too. Hang in there you are almost done.

geez, could it be a urinary tract infection or another infection? Has he ever been pregnant? Pelvic pain is not normal. Did you fall, possibly? Use some anti-inflammatory pain killers for now.
