Pelvic pain and pregnancy, can u moms help?

My pelvic pain started when I was only 9 weeks. At that time the doctor said it was normal considering I have a nerve condition. I am now near 26 weeks and it is so bad there are times I can't walk, pack my son (2 years old), lift my leg to get into the car, or where even sitting causes me pain. I'm going to call my doctor as soon as he opens this morning. If you experienced serious pain like this, was it normal or was something wrong? Just looking for similar experiences as I already know I really need to be seen by my doc. Thanks in advance :)

I also can hardly get out of bed and dress myself. Thanks moms for all the answers so far!

sounds like you have SPD. symptoms: Pain and tenderness in the area of the symphysis pubis joint can often be accompanied by pain in the hips, lower abdomen and groin. Sometimes the pain can also manifest itself in the inner thighs and in one or both buttocks. Walking and other activities exacerbate the pain. Standing on one leg can be virtually impossible, so activities that rely on this to some degree will increase the pain. Climbing stairs, getting dressed and getting in and out of cars or the bath all involve the use of one leg at a time. Women can also experience pain while trying to move in bed, lifting things, sitting down and getting up. They may also have pain if they try to spread their legs past a certain point. Sometimes there can be a clicking during hip movement felt or even heard. A tendency to shuffle along or waddle may develop as women try to distribute their weight evenly.

Its possible that the baby is just sitting in a bad spot, have you tried to get the baby to move around? That might help?

sounds like your round ligaments are giving you a hard time.. i can sympathize with you in a way.. only mine isn't pelvic pain.. the muscles in my back hurt so bad that i even have back spasms from them... i am doubled over sometimes in riidiculous pain.. and ive been to every doctor in town.. they just tell me to tough it out and my body will return to normal after the baby. I would try to take 2 reg. strength tylenol when yours get REALLY bad.. it helps!! it sounds pretty normal, and they will more than likely tell you if you have no abnormal discharge or anything else going on, that its just round ligament pain.

my mom told me that my pelvic pain was more normal than i thought- but that it could be because i needed to get a chiropractic adjustment- i have issues with my joints now as it is- so she said if i got an alignment my hips would be much happier!!! since your pelvis is the center of your baby carrying needs and also they grow--

just the advice my mom gave me, but ask your doc! good luck

i have pain like that in the back side it runs all down my leg im 31 weeks and sometimes i can;t even stand up. my doctor told me it was a bone thing. because the hormones released to spread the hips are working on my other bones. it hurts to sit lay on my back get up walk stand.my doctor suggested massage therapy

Sounds like baby is sitting right on your troubled nerve! Whenever my babies would do that I"d get a pack of peas from the freezer and put it on that spot. It would do two things: first it would help the pain. secound, it would make baby move since after a minute or so they'd feel the cold. Also works if they've got their feet stuck straight up into your ribs...eat a popcycle as quick as you can without giving yourself a headache. Your stomach will get cold and they'll move their feet!

I have had this since the 15th week. The doctor said it was pressure on my pelvic ligaments. I'm 32 weeks now and it's much worse. It's difficult to get out of bed and walk. The doctor said it's perfectly normal and the baby and I are just fine. She did say it will continue to get worse, but it's nothing to worry about. Good luck!
