I'm having really bad pains in my pelvic area, especially when I walk, is this normal ??? |
I'm 37 weeks and 3 days pregnant . Kimberly C-- It's not an on and off it is normal to have pains in your pelvic that means the baby is moving down more and getting ready to be in your arms. it could also mean that you are dilating.I am 39wks and have alot of pressure and yes it hurts and it sometimes stops me in my path of walking. hope this helped you and also i would call your ob just in case he/she may want to check you. If you tested strep positive then they will give you antibiotics through your IV from the first minute they hook you up at the hospital in labor. My second daughter was strep positive and there were no complications. Just make sure when you go into labor and you call the doctor on-call that they know this info. They told me it is very important to start the antibiotics as soon as possible. Also, I have pelvic pain for my last 3 pregnancies (out of 4). So bad that I could barely move. I am small and my babies were big, it may just be the way the baby is positioned. If you are really concerned that it could be something else, call your doc to be sure. It's definitely not strep, as I tested positive for that with my first. I do remember having those cramps, and you are really getting near the end. Call your doctor, but I really think it is your body's way of telling you to get your bags packed because there's a baby coming soon! Congratulations and best wishes on your delivery! As your body prepares for labor your pelvic bones start to separate to make room for the baby. It is controlled by hormones. I felt like this too way at the end of my pregnancy. I would get these sharp pains once in a while. I figured it was the baby's position and contractions at the same time. I tested negative for Strep B. Honestly I don't think that has anything to do with it. But, if you are really worried about it, talk to your Ob/gyn. You should have an appointment soon... absolutely get it checked out! You don't want it to hurt you or you baby. Depending on the results you can make a decision about takin medication or not. doctor doctor doctor. I think it is normal, i had pains like that at the end of my pregnancy, but it is a sign that labor is starting to come on. You should at least call your doc. They will prob tell you to rest. ur almost there! my friend told me when she was about that far it hurt just to get up from bed to walk to the bathroom her pelvic area hurt soo bad, its normal, but it could be close to your time!! good luck I would say its just all the pressure because the same happened to me for about 3 days before i went into labor. So maybe your little one is working on making his great debut! Good Luck!!! you should go to the doctor, you could have a pelvic infection, which could be quite worse than strep throat. your safe enough to deliver, and that could be the beginning of labor pains. Call your doctor. no you should see a doctor. stay off your feet, they're pelvic stress fractures Are the pains sharp, but don't last long? When I was nearing the end of my most recent pregnancy, my baby got in the habit of kicking/hitting me in the cervix and it hurt like crazy. It was worst when I was walking, and was bad enough that I would nearly double over in pain. It wasn't constant and would come and go--does it sound like what you're experiencing? Regardless, it's probably best to mention it to your doctor, just in case. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy! |
