Pain in the pelvic region?

I had severe pain way down in the pelvic region. After doing an ultra sound & transvaginal scan my gynaec said
it was an ovarian cyst or endometriosis. This happened same time last year (just once ) and I am having a repeat episode now. The pain gets unbearable at times it seems as if something is twisting inside . The same tests were repeated by another gynaec and I was told the same.
This time round however the pain has been continuing since early Feb as a dull twisting sensation, getting severe (almost unbearable) during my periods. I have had my periods four since early Feb , after 18 days each time.
My doc is going on 2 months vacation and on his return he'll do a laproscopy to see what the problem is.
I wonder if there is any malignancy, would it have shown in the scans. There is no weight loss, infact I keep putting on weight. My periods have been pretty irregular for a couple of years. I am 45.

I would suggest that you ask your doctor for a recommendation of someone you can see while he/she is on vacation. I know your pain, as I have had 2 ovarian cysts removed through laproscopic surgery. I'm surprised that you haven't had this done along with a DNC for your endometriosis. You may want to get another opinion.
I believe a malignancy would show up in the scans.

yes, definitely go see another doctor. there is no reason for you to have to wait and continue to be in pain. sweetie, get it taken care of!
