I'm 35 weeks and am experincing alot of lower pelvic pain is that normal.? |
i can barely roll over at night without wanting to cry the pain is so bad has anyone else gone through that Yeah, i had it from about 32 weeks ----- was awful kept me up most of the night i was in agony but my doctor told me it was quite normal for slight discomfort but women can have different levels of pain,,, in my case it was v bad!!! Try using a boppy pillow to sleep you put it between your legs to help ease the pressure. i used to experience mild pelvic pains and i used to do squats to kind of soothe the pain. it could be because your baby is getting big and starting to move around alot more the pain will subside eventually but until then try the squats and the boppy! Yes, this is normal to be having the lower pelvic pain at this time. your body is preparing itself for what is about to come. But if the pain is unbearable to the point of crying, you need to contact your doctor so he can determine if you are in active labor, these pains usually shouldn't be bad to the point of crying, usually they are just more uncomfortable if anything. Call your doctor and be sure the baby isn't on his way!! Good luck! im 36 weeks and 4 days, i have really bad pain in my hips- especially at night i assume its just the muscles stretching and the bone softening getting ready for birth- trying sleeping with your hip wedged on a pillow as it should ease the pressure slightly- try getting someone to massage your hip area for you aswell. Hope the pain improves! Hi i've had that pain on and off, sometimes it's really bad (can't lift my leg) other times i barely notice it. most doctors say it's normal but I've read about Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) and I have all the symptoms! so maybe you should check it out.. they say getting adjusted by a chiropractor helps. For me walking helps.. the first few mins are painful but it gets better after. heres an article.. I hope yours isn't as bad! http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/encyclopedi... Yes I had it with my first but not my second : midwife said that it is about now that your body releases hormones to start loosening your pelvic bones in order that the cartilage can stretch to accomodate the baby when you give birth. Oh yes! Unfortunately it is very normal. I'm only gonna be 30 weeks and am starting to experience this. The baby is getting lower into your pelvis to prepare to be born. He/she will be pushing downward as if trying to get out. It's quite painful at times. I have yet to find a way to relieve this pain. (this is my 3rd baby) Just keep in mind that you are almost there. I wish I could say the same. Congrats! This sounds like symphisis pubis dysfunction. I has it with both my pregnancies and it was horrible. Especially turning over in bed or getting in and out of car etc. My midwife never did anything about it but people who are really, really bad sometimes have to go into a wheel chair for rest of pregnancy. It really is horrible but when the baby is born it will dissapear. Maybe look up symptoms on internet and if you think this is what you have tell your midwife. Can search for SPD or how i spelt it above. Goodluck! THANK YOU!! Yeah, the doctor says its normal. Mine started around 32 weeks and has gotten progressively worse. Now I'm miserable. Maybe try a tylenol for the pain. Also, soaking in a warm bath seems to help. And stretching before bed. yeah this is normal, I had this pain then it went to my legs and was told it is pressure building up for your waters to break in a few weeks. Good luck with everything x I'm 35 weeks pregnant as well and i experience alot of pain and pressure as well..so its pretty normal. Not bad enough to want to cry though, maybe you should go to the OB. im 35weeks too, and i have alot of pelvic and hip pain, ive had this since week 27. yes, i am only 20 weeks and i have started to get pain like that. |
