Had a colposcopy 3 days ago I have a odor and brownish discharge but no fever, pelvic pain. Is something wrong?

Is the smell from the medicine they put in after the biopsy? The stuff was yellow . Please let me know

I also had a colposcopy, yesterday actually, and they also did a biopsy. They used that yellowish mustard looking stuff to stop any bleeding that may have occurred when taking the sample of tissue. They told me that it's normal to have a brownish/black discharge (it's the yellow stuff mixed with dry blood) I personally also have some pelvic pain and a slight fever, i'm thinking it probably effects every person differently. Sounds like we are in the same boat and I don't think you have anything to worry about; becides you should have a follow up appointment some time in the next few weeks, right? If things still don't seem right in a few more days I would just call and speak to the nurse at your Dr's office she will be able to tell you if it something you should be seen right away for. Hang in there and good luck.

I had mine when I was pregnant . And I had some bleeding a spot or two but it sounds normal to me.
