For those with pelvic pain while pregnant, what are forms of relief do you use?

I have bad pelvic pain from the ligaments stretching apart from hip to hip already at week 29 of pregnancy every time i sit or stand or lift my legs, esp from the sleeping position to standing. Is my only option to get a pelvic girdle to relieve the pressure?? how normal is this pain? how many of u have had it? i'm not overweight, nor have i gained much weight & early 30s. will it worsen do u think?

i don't know if this will help you but it has helped me with pelvic pain & back pain . Try pelvic tilts, you know get on all fours & rock your pelvic area in & out. It helps me hope things get better

I had it for all of my last trimester, and it was awful. And yes, it got worse for me as I got near the end.

The only things I could do were to walk slowly, have my legs touching/facing the same direction as I sat down or stood up, and holding my breath and gritting my teeth as I rolled over in bed. Using a pillow between my legs as I slept helped a little bit.

My OB gave me the ok to take Tylenol at night, when it was at its worst and would keep me up. Other than that, lots of rub-downs with Mineral Ice and warm baths! Hope you feel better, it is almost over. My baby will be 6 months in a week and for as uncomfortable as I was, I would be willing to do it all over again in a heartbeat :-D

don't take prescription drugs... they are more harmful then herbal remedies that have the same pain relieving effect. I suggest Marijuana!

put a pillow between your legs when you sleep and try sleeping with a body pillow...they are great! Do some slow walking around the block, maybe that will help

The only thing that worked for me was taking a hot bath and using heating pads!!!

warm showers or heat packs and pain relifif you are allowed to take them
