22 weeks pregnant, and having pelvic pain? |
I have been up all day walking around, and it has been hurting most of the day. Also, my stomach has been really tight feeling since last night. Is this normal? It is perfectly normal. You pelvic bones and tissues are loosening up and becoming soft so that they can start moving into wider positioning in preparation for childbirth. It is at times quite painful. It is absolutely normal, but as with anything you should mention it at your next check up and if the pain becomes unbearable deffinately call the doctor. It depends on what you mean by pelvic pain. It could just be that your ligaments have all loosened to the point where it is very painful to walk (I've been like that since 14 weeks.) Whenever I stand, it feels like I've pulled a muscle. If you're very worried, see a doctor. But be prepared for them to tell you to "live with it". (For some reason OBs aren't very sympathetic.) whenever you have any pains that your concerned about dont hesitate to call your ob. it could be something or nothing, but its better to be safe then sorry... it very well could just be your body stretching.. all of your muscles and everything down there are going through a dramatic change.. ive felt the same way practically throughout my whole pregnancy with my second, but didnt with my first. best of luck :) 38 weeks pregnant by the way. I was having the same problems at that time and I can only tell you that it doens't get much better. The pelvic pain is normal that is your hips spreading. My doctor told me that its normal. Its just a way that your body is getting ready for when you do go into labor. Some days you will feel better than others and sometimes it just makes you want to cry. I took flexril (muscle relaxer). It helped me, but with your stomach being tight i would call me doctor. Because if it stays tight and wont let up at all then you could be having a problem. No its not normal go to the ob/gyn... and if you cant get in there go to the emergency room. ive been having the same problem, but i spoke to my docter about it and he told me it was normal, but i should try to get more rest and try to be less on my feet as for the baby only rest when i rest it could be a cancerous tumor.....or indegestion Yes, you're fine. |
