Pelvic Pain at 27 Weeks?

Last night I started having really bad pelvic pain. It almost felt like someone was taking my pelvic bones and pulling them apart. Once I'd get up and walk around some I was ok, but trying to stand up and first walk was excrutiating. Has anyone else had this? I'm almost 28 weeks and really don't want her coming early.

I do have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon for a checkup. I'm going to talk to him about it then. She still feels pretty high up because she's flipping around and kicking.

I have the same thing and was diagnosed with Symphysis Pubic Dysfuntion, where the ligaments holding the pelvic bone together become too loose and unstable, this can be really excruciating. Chiropactic care can REALLY help. This is NOT normal pain. But it won't hurt your baby so that's good.

Don't mind the link, you do NOT have to be plus sized to have this, this is just one of the best information sites I have found since being diagnosed. SPD can increase things like fatigue, sciatic nerve pain, and can get a lot worse as you get bigger if you don't get some treatment. In normal cases this type of pain wouldn't show up until the last month or so, but with SPD it happens too much and too soon.

Good luck, take a look at the link and see if it applies. A lot of doctors and midwives will chalk this up to "just one of those crosses pregnant women have to bear" but don't accept that answer, there ARE things that can help!

Thats normal pain. It is a bit early for you to be experiencing it - mine didn't start until 34 weeks. Mention the pain to your OB at your next appointment. It could just be that your baby dropped early, which does NOT mean she will come early.

Sounds like the baby is just starting to drop a little maybe. If the pain lasts for days, then I'd see a doctor or if it makes you feel better, go ahead and call the doctor now to verify.
