Depo and Pelvic Pain?

Hi,
I have severe chronic pelvic pain from both nerve damage and scar tissue that happened after some pretty extensive surgeries. I have dealt with pain management for so long , and I've found that anything even remotely creating pain will continue the pain even after it's gone. so having my period kept me in constant pain. So my doctor put me on Depo about 5 years ago.
Unfortunately, nobody ever talked to me about the bone density loss, and I've switched docs several times. I'm very concerned since I'm not a big milk drinker and I don't take supplements.
but my predicament is that if I go off depo, I'll have to deal with the pelvic pain again. If I stay on it, I'm afraid for my bones! What should I do?

I think you misunderstood. I have pain all day, everyday. That's why I'm on depo, to decrease the pain caused by periods. This is severe debilitating chronic pelvic pain, which is why I really don't want to get off depo.
So it won't be just 4 days of pain, it will be EVERYDAY with pain.
I'm already infertile so I don't care about that stuff...I just care about the bone density vs my chronic pain.

Switch birth controls ASAP!! I was on Depo and I only got it ONCE and my woman shop is ALL jacked up down there!
Not only that, I am indefinitely infertile, I had severe mood swings, etc the whole shebang. There are other birth controls that can help, like make your period at least shorter. You can deal with some pain meds for 4 days right?
