Pelvic & abdominal pain after birth? |
Hi everyone. I gave birth one week ago, this morning I had agonising cramps that felt like period pains, and my pelvic floor was aching. At times it felt like I feel when I have a dodgy tummy and have food poisoning, those sort of painful stomach cramps, but mostly I felt like I was having a period. I am still bleeding but not more so that normal. I had stitches after birth too. Has anyone else had these sorts of pains not so long after giving birth? Thanx for reading xxx You just gave birth a week ago. Of course you're going to have pain that comes and goes. It's totally normal. Take some ibuprofen or tylenol if you're uncomfortable. As long as you aren't bleeding heavy enough to saturate a pad in less than an hour, or have foul smelling discharge, fever, or having large clots, there is probably nothing to worry about. |
