Pain in Pelvic Bone, feels like a bruise...?

I am almost 33 weeks pregnant with my first child and the last couple of days I have noticed that my pelvic bone is extremely sore, like I ran into something and bruised it. It's not likely that that happened so I am wondering if this is normal during pregnancy with all the moving around the body has to do to make room for baby's arrival. Any suggestions?

It probably is bruised, your pubic symphasis gets looser (the joint at your pubis that normally is a fixed joint) due to the relaxin hormone (which loosens your ligaments for the stretching later) - and can get dislocated near the end of pregnancy.

Sounds like SPD or PSD. It's the same thing but different people call it different things. Talk to the doc, and have them check. Basically, the gap in your pubic bone (front and center) is moving freely due to the ligaments becoming stretchy. This is very normal, and be lucky that you got it late in pregnancy. It happened to me at 14 weeks, and I had a natural birth of a 9.5 lb. baby. So, just know, it could be worse. My son is 8 months old and I still have it. I am currently being treated for it. The doc thinks I may have some sort of trauma.

All I can suggest is not to put all your weight on one foot, if possible. When getting in or out of bed or the car, swing both legs around and put the weight on both. When getting dressed, sit down to put pants, socks and shoes on. Rely on hand rails when on stairs. If necessary, use crutches, or a hip brace to stabilize the gap.

Good luck, take warm baths!

you may have SPD (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction)
its normal during pregnancy due to the pelvis spreading
i only experience it after sex....it sucks and it hurts. try laying down and not causing any pressure on the pelvis area

normal normal normal ... possibly baby is starting to move down and put pressure on your pelvis about now - however its going to get worse im afraid ... sorry..
