Yeast infection - pelvic pain - possible PID, should I wait until monday to see a doctor? |
I discovered I had a yeast infection after having sex with my partner, and it was very painful. No symptoms before that..but severe pain during and a day or so later I noticed discharge. 1 week after having sex I did a 1 day treatment of monistat...I waited a week but still had concerns that the yeast infection wasn't cleared up. I found a country doctor that works on a sliding scale. Hopefully they are open tomorrow, saturday I have no insurance, so I understand your fears but YOUR HEALTH IS AT STAKE! Look in the phone book for a community clinic or a Planned Parenthood near you. They charge on a sliding scale so it's not so bad. If you can't get an emergency appointment, walk in and stay until they see you. A few years ago I was experiencing horrible pain while urinating and I thought my boyfriend had given me an std. I called the doctors office and described my symptoms. The nurse laughed it off and told me it was probably a Urinary Tract Infection (it was but I had never had one before) She wanted to schedule me for the following wednesday. I told her I was coming right now and would wait all day if needed. Well I got lucky, someone was a no-show and I saw the doctor 1hr after I arrived. There was no way I could have gone a week and a half with a burning sensation every time I peed. you need to go to the doctor and get some antibotics. First always see a doctor if symptoms have not cleared up in seven days after treatment and second the ER will work with you if you dont have insurance and also assist you in getting your medications as well. I hope this helps. you might have a bladder/kidney infection now...it happens if the yeast isn't cleared up. You may have to use prescription meds for a yeast infection and for SURE with a kidney/bladder infection. Please see a Dr...a walk-in clinic isn't that much and you really need to see someone. Since it's Friday you'll have to. |
