Pelvic pain during pregnancy? |
I have been having severe pelvic pain yesterday and today. ITs getting worse as the day goes on and I dont do alot. It is really sore down there. I am only 24 weeks along and this is my 3rd baby. Any help? My later pregnancies were far worse for the stretching ligaments than the first 2 were. You are very likely experiencing ligament pain which, unfortunately, doesn't go away. Just keep off your feet as much as you can. You should mention it at your next appointment so that your doctor can further question you, however. The pelvic pain you are having could be severe if the pain stays and don't go away. It that happens go see a doc. immidiately cause that's not good. If it comes and go and the pain is not that bad then you shouldn't have to worry about it. i had this same problem. My first pregnancy was nothing like my second. I was having the same problem ur talking about...my pelvic area was hurting soooo bad...at times i wanted to cry. It only got worse as my pregnancy progressed. I think it was a combination of the baby sitting soooo low and my hips widening. Anyways, it got sooo bad that near the end i could barely walk and it would hurt to even get in and out of bed. It went away about 3 weeks after i had him. I hope yours isnt as bad as mine was. Good luck! Have you tried supporting your belly with a "pregancy belt" or other support garment to relieve the pressure of the weight bearing down on your pelvis? I found that pregnancy support garments helped a lot when I was pregant with my babies. You should go to ER. It might mean something bad. I experienced some pelvic pain with my pregnancies that felt like a lot of pressure, very, very uncomfortable. You should always talk to your doctor about things like this though, just in case. |
