Painful pelvic pain during early pregnancy...? |
Help! I am very worried, I am about 5 and half weeks pregnant and am having pretty painful pains in my pelvic area. I have read online that pain in the pelvic area is normal but I wanted to know from mothers if I need to worry or not. It feels like I'm going to start my period. I am not bleeding at all nor do I have a fever. I am extremely tired and the pain doesn't seem to be going away even though I have been laying in bed for a while. The pains are on both sides of pelvic area and sometiems in the middle. Should I be worried? My first doctor's appt is on Tuesday. cramping during the first trimester is very common......that doesn't mean u should ignore it though. it could be something as harmless as the uterus stretching and constipation or as bad as a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. just because you're not bleeding now doesn't mean u can't start. i would call your OB and try to see her tomorrow. chances are it's nothing and you're comletely fine. but why take that chance right? Bring it up with your doctor they are there to reassure you and keep an eye on you. But remember that during early pregnacy (esp your first) your uterus will be starting to grow & streach. With being tired get the doc to check your iron levels. If you start to have any spotting go to the ER. Mum of 3 + 2 angels This happens to me to.My doctor said that it is normal. 5 weeks 4 days pregnant I had that too..It was my uterus stretching for the baby....Just make sure you have no bleeding but you will be ok..Its ok to take tylenol too........ Congrats~ I am 16 weeks pregnant. I had pelvic pain early on and still do. This is normal. This is from ligaments expanding and your uterus expanding. However, make sure to mention this to your doctor just to make sure. |
