Extreme pelvic pain at 33 weeks? |
I am currenly 33 weeks and having extreme pelvic pain that radiates through my groin and inner thighs with an uncomfortable feeling in my lower back (similar to menstral cramps). The pelvic exam yesterday showed the cervix to be closed and the doctor recommended warm baths, a heating pad, pillows between my legs at night and Tylenol, but nothing is helping!! Does anyone have any recommendations? I cannot concentrate because of the pain and I am literally to the point of tears a majority of the day and I can't find any relief... If it's been 33 weeks since you've had sex, and are still having pains, then you are doing it wrong! Source(s): Me Try to stay off your feet and bend your knees up or slightly to the side. There are all kinds of nerves in the pelvic area where the baby is now positioning himself for delivery. Get ready for what they call "back labor" during delivery. The pain might have to do with the pubic symphysis moving and the bone shearing. It could also be round ligament pain. Look into the prenatal support belts and see if that helps. Massage could also help you. Someone who is experienced in prenatal massage could have some specific techniques to help you out. Chiropractic care could also help alleviate the pain. Find some one who specializes in prenatal care. Good Luck, I hope you feel better. WOw. sorry to hear about the pain. My wife is sitting with me and telling me she had similar pain but not to the extent that it sounds like you have it. Find a Chiropractor who specializes in prgnant women and they may be able to help. It is not uncommon for women to receive specialized Chiropractic help while pregnant. She says you caan also go after the baby is born. Best wishes and we will pray for you today. This could be the tiny ligaments that hold your uterus and pelvic floor stretching- This causes EXTREME pain. Massage can help as long as you see an L.M.T that is specific to pregnancy. I see lots of women who have these same kinds of pain and massage helps. Also just to ease you a bit- I had these pains as well and went to the emergency room- they hurt worse than natural child birth. Good luck. try to wrap ur hips with something like a maternity support belt or even some ace bandage. i think u may have what i have. its called SPD symphysis pubis dysfunction. but unfortunately the doctors wont do alot about it. it has to do with the pelvic bones being misaligned. u can try to go see a specialist. a physiotherapist maybe. that could help, but also u need to look at some information about it. if its really SPD then u can have severe problems after childbirth if u dont make sure ur nurses and doctors in the delivery room know about the restrictions. let me get a page for u to look at some information on http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/pubic... that page helped me alot, and i hope it will help u. good luck |
