Lower back and pelvic pain?

i Know this is going to sound a little rediculous to you all becasue of course this stuff is going to happen, but I want your opinion befor I call the doc. I have all day long have terrible pain right in my "area" its really sharp and have had lots of pressure in my "butt", I know he's moving down but is it suppose to be so painful, when i sit on the toilet I have expect to see a little hand or foot poking out. Do you get this? should I call doc.

The first problem is that because you are pregnant your low back is hyperextended backward (arched) so the disks have been "squished" forward. Standing toe touch (hamstring) stretches would reverse this if done repeatedly. Tight overactive muscles can be released by a good massage therapist or physical therapist who knows trigger point therapy and stretching. A pregnancy support belt might help your low back as well. Physical therapy modalities like electrical stimulation can safely help your back relax.

Most chiropractors would probably manipulate your back with you lying on your side and give you the electrical stimulation. This is safe as long as they don't try to manipulate your neck if it is asymptomatic(there is a risk of stroke). The better ones would also give you some exercises. While the manipulation might make you feel a little better, without the stretching it would only be addressing the symptoms. I think there are some good books out there written by physical therapists on exercise for preganancy for this type of problem.

So in short, yes a good chiropractor can offer you a little relief but it would be limited. There are guidelines for picking a safe chiropractor on www.chirobase.org
no need, unless the doc will calm your worries. i expect you are in your third trimester. if not, there may be something else going on. normally though the little bugger may be pressing on your end nerves...funny how that works even before their born. good luck!
That depends on how far along you are. If it is still really early in your pregnancy I would call and ask whats up. If it is later (last month or so) then I would expect this to happen. Unfortunatly your little one is putting alot of pressure on your nerves and pelvic bones.. thats what's causing your pain. Some women even have trouble sitting once their baby drops because they feel like they are actually sitting on the baby. Hang in there, if it doesnt go away in a day or two ask at your next prenatal exam... if you are far enough along you should be having those weekly by now anyway. Best of luck
Sounds like the baby is settling in to be born. The head is putting pressure on the perineum, wich is what you are feeling. It is perfectly normal, but if you feel cramps or that something isn't right, call your doctor.
Been there
Could be signs of early labor, how far along are you? That would help us answer your question better.
