Has anyone ever had Pelvic Pain (Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction)? |
will it go away after the baby is born and also did anyone have it with there more than one pregnancy? I had it horribly with my second. It went away almost immediately. You will still be walking funny for a few days, but that will just be from delivery. Take comfort! It does get better. My midwife told me it usually reoccurs with subsequent pregnancies. He suggested a pregnancy belt. I didn't get one because I was almost due and I don't plan on any more, but you may want to look into that. Yes, i have it this time around. I don't know if it'll go away when im' done, but i sure hope so.. i can barely walk! I can't shower alone! It sucks :( This site helped me A LOT to understand what was going on. http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/pubic... I'm not plus sized, but the info is all there still. I had SPD with my last baby, my fourth, I was in AGONY from around 5 months pregnant. I was supposed to have an appt with physio at hosp but they didn't send me an appt until my baby was 4 wks old! It went a few weeks after she was born ( I thought it goes immediately, but that's wrong). Belts are (supposed) to help but I tried all the shops locally and couldn't find one. Apparently it gets worse with more pregnancies... My husband's Cousin was giving birth to her fourth baby after suffering with SPD and her pelvis actually CRACKED open and she was in a cast for over 6 wks after the birth!! I think I've had my LAST baby then....!!! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am having symptoms of this, but didn't know what was going on. Now I can address it to my doctor. |
