| *Women health>>>Pelvic Pain |
I am 33 weeks pregnant and have severe pelvic pain, is that normal?? |
This is my second child and with my first child I don't remember having pelvic pain like I do with this one. It litterly hurts to walk in morning when I first wake up. Is this normal?? This is my first pregnancy and do I know pelvic pain! It started for me around 33 week mark as well. It was soooo bad, I had to stop work. Initially it was in my anterior pelvis, by my pubic symphysis. My OB said it was my pubic symphysis starting to stretch out and that some women feel it, and some don't. Then, it started in my posterior pelvis. She then told me, this was caused by junior's head trying to settle into my pelvis, and causing some more stretching. She said it was how he is lying. This sharp-stabbing pain feels like I am being stabbed in the abdomen or in the lower back (posterior pelvic area). For me, it doesn't matter if I am lying, standing, walking...it comes when it wants to come. It sometimes is felt like a twinge, and sometimes can be felt for hours. It did go away for about a week at week 38, then resumed last week in full force again. So, yes, if it is the same pain I am getting, it is normal. Just hopefully for you, it won't be as bad as mine was and it will go away soon. Good luck to you! yes it is very normal it was bad with my first one but not my second the baby is just putting pressure on you I'm due March 24th and I'm going through the same exact thing. This second pregnancy for me is harder to deal with. Once you get to moving for the day it will stop. Good luck! From what I hear (because I don't have personal experience) yes this is normal. I have a friend right now not due till sometime in May and she was telling me the other day she is experiencing this alot and she did not have this at all with her first child. Yes, it is normal. Mine hurt like the dickens! Still be sure to mention to your OB though just to cover your bases. Oh gosh I know. Its probably round ligament pain. You can buy pregnancy support belts that you wear low under your belly. I was walking the the grocery store one day and literally couldn't move. It hurt so bad I had pain (more towards my bottom abdomen where my tummy meets my leg/ v area) and it got to the point where i could barely walk so called my dr. She said there should be some discomfort as your body is adjusting to the pregnancy, growing and what not, but if it was pain to go the the ER. I went and it turned out i had kidney stones. I would definety check it out. |
