i asked this on my other email name, but it wouldnt show up on the main question page so i figured i would try asking it on this name.
i am 30 weeks about (give or take a few days lol) and i have been (recently) having lots of pelvic pain. this isnt my first baby but i dont remember feelin like this with my first, i am going to the bathroom fine. no burning and no constipation. but it does seem to hurt more when i have to pee (fuller bladder) i just want to know if its completely normal or should i contact my doctor? could it just be round ligament pains? or the baby putting pressure on my pelvis? i do feel the baby move normally (i think she was practicing gymnastics last night before i went to sleep LOL) but the pain is bad when i get up or change positions when laying down (like from right side to left or vice versa) and when i walk sometimes too. thanks
It sounds like your pubic bone may be separating. This is fairly common. She is probably dropping, which is putting pressure on the area. It is your body's way of preparing for birth. It sucks, though. I had it with my second child, but not my first. My midwife suggested a pregnancy belt. I didn't get one, as I was pretty far along when I heard of this. It is worth a shot, though. You still have quite a long way to go. I can suggest sleeping with a pillow between your legs if you lay on your side and make your movements as slow as possible. It seemed to help me. You should get as much physical support as possible when changing positions. You can take Tylenol for the pain if you get your doctor's OK, too. |
