A bacterial infection in the bladder can cause inflammation which can lead to blood being found in the urine, but should only be visible microscopically or by dipstick. If you are seeing blood in your urine with your naked eye, then that's probably more significant than a bladder infection (possible kidney stone, etc).
No, it is not normal. You need to go see a doctor asap, or go to the emergency room. You might have something more than a bladdder infection, or it's getting worst.
See a doctor IMMEDIATELY. You could have a major kidney problem. You could be bleeding from your vagina. And that's another problem. Again, see a doctor IMMEDIATELY.
That's not the most common, but common enough. Happens all the time.
it depends on how much blood you are talking about. was a urine culture done at your doctor's office? are you on antibiotics? it could be that your antibiotics are not doing their job, and you may need to go back to your doctor for a follow-up appointment. it's very important to drink a lot, and i mean A LOT of water. this helps the bladder to heal.

also, if you're having lower pelvic pain (other than the normal burning associated with the bladder infection), you may have something else going on which would require a visit to the OB/GYN. various vaginal infections, as well as STD's, cause pelvic pain.
