Pelvic/suprapubic pain at end of second trimester? |
I am 24 weeks pregnant with my second child, and so far this pregnancy has been really good. A couple of days ago I noticed some pain when I got up from sitting that DID NOT go away when I walked around. Actually, it has only gotten worse. It feels like my pelvic bones are splitting or something...it's kind of hard to describe. The pain is always there, and I can't even sleep on either side (in order to get to sleep I have to have my upper body propped up to a 45 degree angle sleeping on my back). Has anyone else had this kind of pain? I had low back pain that subsided, but the pelvic pain is still there. I'm afraid the doc is going to put me on bedrest, and I have a 17 month old at home to take care of. If anyone has been through this before, any advice is well appreciated!! By the way, I see my OB on Friday, and I have been trying to call them all day today. I will get an answer, just want to know if anyone else has been there, done that!! Have a great day! I myself have just stared week 33 of my second pregnancy and I have had pelvic pain since I was about 26 or 27 weeks along and it won't go away. I also have an 18 month old at home to care for and when I asked my doctor about the pain he told me that it was simply pressure brought on by the baby. My first baby didn't do that to me, But there is a lot about my second that I did not experience with my first. My doctor told me to try a hip sling or hip- hammock???? He said I could find it at JC Penny's or some place like that. The lower abck pain kind-of comes with the territory and the braxton- hicks. Good luck!!! I haven`t been and never will be . go see a doctor as soon as possible if none available go to the hospital emergency room please Actually, I had this pain with my last one and I have three. My last one was a large baby. Now, I can't guarantee that this is the same for you. The midwife told me that when abdominal muscles are stretched they can feel bruised. This pain can radiate into the bone. I kept trying to lift up my belly. I swore the kid was standing at attention!!! |
