Very sharp pelvic region pains..? |
Last night I had the worst sharpest pain right in the pubic area and a few inches above it. They felt like horrible menstrual cramps. Then I got up and went to bed and they subsided a tad, now this morning they are gone. I know what Braxton Hicks feel like as I have been having them since about 25 weeks but these were nothing like them as my tummy was not tightening. What were they? I am 37 weeks and 5 days. They baby is very very low. So low my doc said she think they baby will be early. I am a fingertip dilated... thanks everyone. its normal, its the baby pushing down in the birth canal... room is getting tight and it is perfectly normal... at one point I felt so much pain and felt like the baby was going to drop out... rest and relax. its just the baby pushing in your pelvic bones, getting ready for the big day to join the world. I hated those pains, they got worse with each pregnancy too. THey made it so I could barely walk with this last one starting at about 34 weeks!! Good luck call the doctor's office and tell him/her . the doctor will tell you if you need to go to the hospital. i am 35 wks and i am having same pains. i go to doctors tuesday. but baby is ib head down position. it feels like he's head butting my pelvic area!!!! ive had them for 3 days now, but the pressure/pain, comes and goes. good luck It could be just the baby pushing down on your pelvic bones. However, if the pain continues it could be pelvic inflammatory disease or a urinary tract infection. Both are fixable with antibiotics .If you keep getting the pain, call your doctor. |
