Severe Pelvic Pains???

I've had an irregular cycle since June and have had two abnormal paps. I had a colposcopy done a week ago and I'm still waiting on the results but a couple of days ago I started getting sharp pains in my pelvic region like don in my vaginal area. Lastnight I woke up in so much pain down there All I could do is curl up in a ball and cry. If you know what this could be please advise. Thanks to all.

I'm sorry you are in pain. It could be any number of things from Endometriosis to an infection like endometritis, to fibroids to adenomyosis, to ovarian cysts to something more significant. Keep on your doctor about the results of your colposcopy and request appropriate treatment depending on the outcome, up to and including pain management. Don't be afraid to ask for pain relievers from you doc in the interim, either. If you are dissatisfied with your results or your physician after the colposcopy outcome is discussed, do not wait to proceed directly to another GYN or healthcare provider. Pain is never normal and is your body's way of telling you something is wrong...if s/he won't help you, find a doc who will. Good luck and hope it's nothing serious.
YOU NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL NOW!!!!!! I WORK IN A HOSPITAL AND THIS IS SERIOUS!! DO NOT WAIT!!!!!! You may be having complications from surgery!!! CALL 911!!!! YOU WILL GET IN TO A DOCTOR FASTER THAT WAY!!!
