10 days late & think I may be pregnant. Having aches in lower pelvic area, feels like ligament pains. Advice? |
I was due for my period on May 7th. About a week before I was due, I had some light brown discharge for about a day, and after that, I never started. Today I started getting this achey feeling in my lower pelvic region. I only get the feeling when I laugh, cough, or start walking. I have two children, and this feels almost like my round ligament pains felt like during the pregnancy, just not nearly as bad! But it's in the same area, and it just feels like sore muscles, not menstrual cramps or gas pains. My doctor's appointment isn't for another 1 1/2 weeks for exam and blood test. I have had two faint positives, but they were cheap $1 tests, I don't know if those even work! What could the achey-ness feeling be? Has anyone else ever had that type of feeling when they first discovered they were pregnant? I'm wondering if it's anything I should be alarmed about! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :) I had those pains when I was around 6 weeks along. It hurt REALLY bad when I coughed or sneezed! I don't think you have anything to worry about. Good luck:) Well, what I do know is that the cheap test work, if it showed pos. even faintly, it's postive! They all measure HCG levels, some measure a smaller amount which can be more accurate when you test early, but honey girl, your prego! lol. I know the wait for the Dr.'s can drive someone insane, but take care of yourself, and good luck. I have an 8 in a half month old daughter, so it's all still really fresh for me. My best advice is to just go get a pregnancy test. The sooner the better, dear. The only pregnancy tests I've ever bought were all from the dollar store, and believe me, they work. These tests are extremely cheap to produce, and selling them at a dollar still makes a good profit, so don't think that because it's cheap it's wrong. They measure HCG, a pregnancy hormone, so positive is positive. At only 10 days late it would be normal for them to give a faint positive because your HCG level is still low, but it's multiplying quickly. Wait a few more days and you'll likely see a stronger positive. Plus you are getting some other symptoms, so you're pregnant! The symptom you describe is similar to what I felt. I knew I was pregnant even before I missed my period because of this strange feeling (started my $1 preg. tests the very day my period didn't come). Not really pain, just weird sensation in my pelvic area. I wondered if it could possibly be the baby moving that early, but after research, definately ruled out that possibility! It is probably the uterus or other muscles relaxing and stretching and everything down there preparing for pregnancy. It was definately worse when walking. Good luck with everything. If your symptoms worsen, then call your doctor or go in for emergency care, but for now, it sounds like things are probably normal. |
